State PBA backs Lagana for Senate

By David Wildstein, April 02 2018 4:03 pm

The 33,000-member New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Colligan has endorsed Assemblyman Joe Lagana for Bob Gordon’s 38th district State Senate seat — even though Gov. Phil Murphy has not yet endorsed Gordon for a seat on the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.

“Assemblyman Lagana and Assemblyman Eustace are both tremendous representatives and tenacious advocates for constituents throughout the district.  While we believe they would both be welcome additions to the State Senate, we are offering our support for Assemblyman Lagana,” said Colligan.  “Joe Lagana is a common-sense legislator who has consistently proven himself on issues that impact our 33,000 members and their families,” said Pat Colligan.  “Joe stands with law enforcement, even joining our members on the front lines during our years-long battle with former Governor Christie,” added Colligan. “Joe’s candidacy has the support of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association moving forward.”
