Democratic Assembly candidates Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman have won endorsements of four of the five members of the Springfield Township Council.

Mayor Erica DuBois and Township Committeemen Alex Keiser, Richard Huber, and Chris Weber are backing Mandelblatt and Gunderman.  Only deputy mayor Christopher Capodice, Sr. has not endorsed.

Mandelblatt and Gunderman face Jill LaZare in the Democratic primary in the 21st district.  The winners will face Republican incumbents Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) and Nancy Munoz (D-Summit).

“I got the chance to meet both Lisa and Stacey during Tom Malinowski’s campaign. Both worked tirelessly to help get him elected. Their commitment to doing the hard work impressed me,” said Keiser. “I’m going to work hard for them to make sure they unseat Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz. The district needs representatives who are responsive and willing to fight for things like NJTransit funding. Bramnick and Munoz have shown themselves to be unequal to the task.”
