State Sen. Bob Singer (R-Lakewood) thinks Fabiana Pierre-Louis is a good fit for the state’s Supreme Court.
“New Jersey’s highest court has long been recognized as a national model for its fair-mindedness and independence. Based on Fabiana Pierre-Louis’ legal experience and diverse perspective, I believe that she will be a strong addition to the New Jersey Supreme Court,” Singer said. “I look to forward to her confirmation process.”
Murphy nominated Pierre-Louis, a former federal prosecutor who is now a partner at Montgomery McCracken, to replace Associate Justice Walter Timpone earlier this month.
Timpone reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70 on November 10.
If confirmed, Pierre-Louis would be the first Black woman to ever sit on New Jersey’s high court.
