The New Jersey Globe is projecting that State Sen. Nicholas Sacco (D-North Bergen), Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-West New York), and Assemblyman Pedro Mejia (D-Secaucus) have won re-election to the 32nd legislative district.

Sacco defeated Republican Juan Barbadillo; the Assembly incumbents beat Tamara Claudio and Marisela Rodriguez.

Sacco has been mayor of North Bergen since 1991 and a state senator since 1994, and is considered among the most powerful politicians in Hudson County. Jimenez joined the Assembly in 2012, while Mejia succeeded former Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto after he resigned in 2018.

Final 32nd district results:

Sacco 71.2% // Barbadillo 28.8%

Jimenez 35.5%, Mejia 34.7% // Rodriguez 15.0%, Claudio 14.8%
