Oroho somewhat interested in minority leader role

By Nikita Biryukov, May 09 2019 4:52 pm

State Sen. Steve Oroho doesn’t intend to campaign for senate minority leader if current Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean wins his congressional bid against Rep. Tom Malinowski, but he indicated he’d be willing to accept the role if it was thrust upon him.

“I enjoy being the budget officer. It would be a discussion. Would it be something that I would be interested in? Sure. Probably like half of the caucus would be interested,” Oroho said. “So, would it be something that I would consider? Absolutely. Is it something I’m going to aggressively campaign for? No.”
