Stronger Foundations, a political action committee affiliated with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825, launched a “six-figure” cable TV ad buy in the 21st legislative district on behalf of the Republican incumbents.
The ad slams Gov. Phil Murphy on tax issues in a bid to elect Jon Bramnick to the State Senate and Nancy Munoz and Michele Matsikoudis for Assembly – all Republicans.
Script: (Murphy) If you’re a one-issue voter and tax rate is your issue, we’re probably not your state. (Voiceover): If taxes are your issue, New Jersey isn’t your state. Phil Murphy and Trenton Democrats don’t care about us. Our taxes will just continue to go up. The income tax. Property taxes. Energy taxes. The taxes just keep coming. Enough. That’s why we need fighters like Jon Bramnick, Nancy Munoz and Michele Matsikoudis in Trenton fighting for us. This November, vote Bramnick for State Senate. Munoz and Matsikoudis for State Assembly.”
The six-figure price tag is on top of a digital but made by Stronger Foundations to boost Bramnick and his running mates.
Bramnick, the Assembly minority leader, faces Roselle Park Mayor Joseph Signorello in the bid for an open Senate seat. Incumbent Tom Kean, Jr. is not seeking re-election but instead is a candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th district in 2022.
Munoz is seeking re-election on a ticket with Matsikoudis, a New Providence councilwoman running for Bramnick’s open seat.
