Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-Summit) has no interest in challenging Rep. Tom Malinowski.
“Yes, 100%, but thank you for asking,” Munoz told the New Jersey Globe when asked if she had ruled out challenging Malinowski in 2020. “I love what I’m doing here. I have a goal here, which is to serve the people of district 21, and that’s my purpose in life, and that’s it. I’m not running against Malinowski.”
One of Munoz’s running mates, State Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, has been less definitive on the matter.
In November, Kean declined to rule out a run for the seventh congressional district’s House seat. He is considered the leading Republican candidate to take on freshman Malinowski.
