Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo would not rule a run against Sen. Chris Brown in 2021 Thursday.

“That’s too far away — it’s 2021. 2019, I’m going to probably stay running as an Assemblyman. That’s probably where I’m at right now,” Mazzeo said. “2021? We’ll see.”

Mazzeo’s running mate, Assemblyman John Armato said Thursday that he did not intend to run challenge Brown.

The second legislative district, which the three represent, is one of only two districts in the state with split representation.
