Assemblywoman Joann Downey and Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling launched their first television spot Wednesday.
The 30-second spot highlights positive aspects of the two incumbents’ records.
“They’ve helped more than 32,000 constituents. From seniors, to veterans, to kids, to teachers, and all of us taxpayers.” the ad’s narrator says. “They never stop. In fact, they’re just getting started.”
The ad says the two restored women’s healthcare, froze property taxes for seniors and bucked their party to help small businesses, though it does not cite any specific votes.
The ad will run on cable networks in New York and New Jersey media markets.
The Democrats face former Hugin for Senate staffer Matthew Wooly and Freehold Board of Education president Michael Amoroso in the general.
