Former Assemblywoman doesn’t expect to visit Trenton often

Former Assemblywoman Pat Egan Jones has a new gig.

“I am part time, working for Camden County Veterans’ Affairs as kind of an outreach director, getting out into the community, the business community, and letting people know that the office is out there to help our veterans,” she said.

Jones did not run for re-election when her seat came up for a vote last year and had long remained silent on what came next for her after the conclusion of her legislative career.

She’s still on with the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial’s board of trustees, though she said she doesn’t expect to make it down to Trenton very often.

“This will keep me really busy so far, so I haven’t been up there,” she said. “I was going to go for the governor’s state of the state, but since he got me really angry before, I wasn’t going.”
