Dyese Davis named Gopal deputy chief of staff

Neptune planning board member started working for Houghtaling, Downey

Dyese Davis is the new deputy chief of staff to Senate Majority Conference Leader Vin Gopal (D-Long Branch).

Davis started out as an intern in the Assembly district office of Eric Houghtaling (D-Neptune) and Joann Downey (D-Freehold), eventually becoming constituent service director and then deputy chief of staff.

She serves as a member of the Neptune Planning Board, an intern for the New Jersey State Parole Board, a board member for the Affordable Housing Alliance, and a member of the STEAMPark Inc. board.  A former pharmacy technician, Davis is a current New Leaders Council Fellow and is pursuing a post-graduate degree in social work at Rutgers University.
