Dyese Davis re-elected Monmouth Dem chair

Entire executive board re-elected

Monmouth County Democrats unanimously re-elected Dyese Davis as county chair and gave the entire executive leadership team another two-year term.

Davis said the party will continue to focus on grassroots organizing, volunteer engagement, support for Democratic candidates, and strengthening local party infrastructure while investing in the next generation of Democratic leaders throughout Monmouth County.

She was first elected in 2024 after G. David Brown stepped down after nearly eight years in office.

Returning to office are Vice Chair Deana Gunn, Recording Secretary Meg Thomann, Corresponding Secretary Veverly Wyche, Treasurer Victoria Pacheco, and Sergeant-at-Arms Jason M. Corley Sr.

Davis serves as chief of staff to State Sen. Vin Gopal (D-Long Branch) and Assemblywomen Margie Donlon (D-Ocean) and Luanne Peterpaul (D-Long Branch, and is vice chair of the Neptune Planning Board.  Gov. Phil Murphy named her to the Brookdale Community College Board of Trustees.

Gunn is the Matawan Democratic municipal chair and a political organizer for the New Jersey State Laborers PAC.
