Denville councilman Brian Bergen today filed nominating petitions to seek the Republican nomination for State Assembly in the 25th district.
“I am excited to formalize my candidacy for the State Assembly by filing my petition today. I believe strongly that my background and experience make me the ideal candidate for this position,” said Bergen.
A West Point graduate and former U.S. Army helicopter pilot, Bergen is seeking the seat of Michael Patrick Carroll (R-Morris Township), who is leaving the Assembly after 24 years to run for Morris County Surrogate.
If I lived in the 25th, I would vote for him. Bergen served our country in uniform, he has private sector experience, and he is a nice guy. He can win the general election. He’d be against Murphy’s tax hikes.
