The New Jersey Globe is projecting that State Sen. James Beach (D-Voorhees), Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald (D-Voorhees), and Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt (D-Cherry Hill) have won re-election to the 6th legislative district.
They defeated Cherry Hill Fire Department CFO John Foley, IT developer Ed Farmer, and New Jersey Better Business Bureau vice chairman Richard Super, respectively.
Greenwald was first elected to the suburban Camden County district in 1995, defeating Republican Assemblyman (and now-Supreme Court Justice) Lee Solomon (R-Haddonfield). He’s been Majority Leader since 2013, serving under three different Assembly Speakers.
Lampitt joined the delegation in 2005, and Beach won a special election for the Senate in 2008 after serving as Camden County Clerk for more than a decade; unlike Greenwald, neither have ever faced a competitive race.
