Two new videos have surfaced from an adult content website featuring Democratic Assembly candidate Rebecca Holloway that eclipse the original foot fetish photos and include pornographic content.
A former Clementon school board member, Holloway has been legally selling photos of her feet in a multitude of poses on a website, feetfinder.com. Her account was shut down after the first story was published.
She is taking on two incumbents in the 6th legislative district, Louis Greenwald (D-Voorhees) and Melinda Kane (D-Cherry Hill), in the June 10 Democratic primary.
Holloway faced sharp criticism from one of the highest-ranking women in the Assembly Democratic leadership, Majority Whip Carol Murphy (D-Mount Laurel).
“I know how hard it is for women to earn credibility in politics. We face relentless scrutiny and are held to different standards than our male counterparts. While I don’t personally condemn Rebecca Holloway’s choices, I do worry that the public nature of her pornographic content risks reinforcing stereotypes that make it harder for all women in public office to be taken seriously,” said Murphy. “We’ve worked too hard to be seen as leaders first, and I hope every candidate respects the responsibility that comes with seeking public trust.”
Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor, stood up in support of Holloway.
“I probably see this differently than most. When I think of Becky Holloway, I see a courageous woman who stepped up to run for office despite a difficult path. She’s a survivor of domestic abuse, a single mother, and someone who’s been targeted by political opponents digging into her past to score points because they are scared of her. The reality is that the toxic, no-boundaries culture in politics is exactly why many good people don’t run. I’m not walking away from Becky, and I hope voters won’t either,” said Fulop. “While this story gets clicks, Becky is an adult and she is entitled to make her own choices. I hope people consider the bigger picture and where these attacks are really coming from.”
Holloway did not immediately respond to calls and text messages on her cell phone.
