The same year, she lost her bid for a third term in 1991 by a 2-1 margin against Republicans John Iannacone and James Lampmann.

Trish Morris-Yamba
, a former president of the Newark Public Library, died on March 8.  She was the wife of former Essex County College president Dr. A. Zachary Yamba.
