Judge Vogelson dies

M. Allan Vogelson, a former Camden County Freeholder Director who served as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge from 1991 to 2007, has passed away.  He was 81.

Vogelson was first elected freeholder in 1971, after serving as an Assistant Camden County Prosecutor.  He was re-elected in 1974.  He served on the 1981 Legislative Reapportionment Commission, and represented several municipalities as solicitor, including the Camden Board of Education.

Gov. Jim Florio appointed him to serve as a Superior Court Judge in 1991.  He was presiding judge of the Civil Division from 1995 to 2003, and presiding judge of the Chancery and Probate Division from 2003 to 2007.
