John Martin Straub, a Republican county committeeman in Norwood, died on March 4. He was 40. He served on the Norwood Board of Adjustment and a member of the Norwood Volunteer Fire Department.
Eddie Serafin, a longtime councilman in East Newark, passed away on February 25. He was 62. Serafin worked for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission for more than 25 years.
Ray McKelvey, a former Island Heights councilman, died on March 4. He was 94.
Frances Fitzgerald, who spent most of her adult life working for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office, died on March 3. She was 73.
