Kenneth Hampton, a former Bayonne prosecutor and attorney for the Bayonne Board of Education, died on April 3.  He was 81.

Virginia Isaacson, an opponent of overhead utility wires who sought a Westfield Town Council seat in 1973, died on November 16, 2021.  She was 83.   Isaacson had the Republican organization line but lost the Fourth Ward primary to Alan Chin by 116 votes.

James Ballew, Jr
., a U.S. Army veteran who spent 28 years on the Freehold Planning Board, died on April 1.  He was 94.

Walter Edmonds, a member of the New Providence Planning Board for fifteen years, died on April 4.  He was 83.  A U.S. Amy Veteran who served in the Korean War, Edmonds was an unsuccessful school board candidate in 1978.

Joseph Lambert, a former Union County Jury Commissioner and financial analyst with the East Orange Water Commission, died on March 31.  He was 86.

Gail Dean, a copy editor for the Montclair Times in the 1950s and 1960s, died on April 2.  She was 84.

Ann McLaughlin, a former Pompton Plains Zoning Board member, died on March 19.  She was 83.
