Amanda Bell, who worked as a labor union organizer for SEIU and Unite Here! Before attending law school, died on August 24 after a long illness. She was 42. The Yale graduate clerked for the National Labor Relations Board Division of Judges and was a Kent and Stone scholar at Columbia Law School.
Charles Kuyl, a retired New Jersey State Police captain who worked as deputy chief of investigations for the Ocean County Prosecutors Office and as a special agent for the State Commission of Investigation, died on March 30. He was 81. Kuyl was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Rose Marie Schutt, the first woman to serve as president of the Ridgewood Board of Education, died on August 28.
Pricilla Pagano, a former newspaper reporter, died on July 28. She was 99.
