Norman Tesley, who served as a Superior Court Judge from 1976 to 1991, has died. He was 94. A World War II veteran, Tesley was nominated to serve judge by Gov. Brendan Byrne in 1976. He served as president criminal division judge in Salem, Gloucester and Cumberland counties and later as a recall judge in Camden and Warren.
Irwin Gerechoff, a member of the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education, died on March 21. He was 88. Gerechoff was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served as New Jersey State Commander of the Jewish War Veterans.
Patricia Barger, who served as a councilwoman in Ocean Gate from 2007 to 2010, died on March 21. She was 76. Barger served as deputy municipal clerk from 1997 to 2007 and as a member of the Ocean County Board of Education from 1994 to 2003.
Laure Lyons-Dysken, a former municipal clerk in Hamburg and Hardyston, died on March 19. She was 63.
Neal Hoskins, a South River Board of Education member for 17 years, died on March 18. He was 87. Hoskins served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and as an 18-year member of the South River Fire Department.
Frank Greco, a former school board member in Edgewater Park, died on March 18. He was 88. Greco served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
