Leona Burton, who served as a Lebanon borough councilwoman, died on March 10. She was 96. She was the first woman to serve on the council, and the first woman to serve as municipal clerk – a post she held from 1970 to 1993. Burton served on the Lebanon Borough Sewage Authority, the planning board, and the Board of Health.
Charles Baraban, a longtime member of the Runnemede Demcoratic Club before moving to Pennsylvania, died on March 13. He was 90. Baraban was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Holly Transue, a former clerk for the Cape May County prosecutor’s office, died on February 26. He was 64.
Suzanne Williamson, a past president of the National Association for Family Child Care and the Coalition of Infant/Toddler Educators, died on March 10. She was 72. Williamson was a past New Jersey Child Care Advisory Council chair.
