Florio Tribute: John DiMaio

Assembly Minority Leader John DiMaio (R-Hackettstown) made the following statement on the death of former Governor Jim Florio:

“Whether it was in the General Assembly, Congress, the U.S. Navy or as governor of New Jersey, Jim Florio served his state and country with unwavering dedication. He was a fighter, especially when others disagreed with his policies. Just like in the boxing ring, he wasn’t afraid to take or throw political punches if it was something he believed in, but he always remained a true gentleman. His character and his decades of service to the people of New Jersey and all Americans should be commended. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.”
