Daily newspaper editor dies

Robert J. Ritchie, who served as the managing editor of the Courier-Post and as editor and publisher of the Toms River Observer, died on August 29.  He was 91.  His family ran an obituary in New Jersey newspapers this week.  He worked for the Penns Grove Record and spent seventeen years with the Courier-Post.  His five year-stint with the Toms River Observer ended with his retirement in 1986.
