Carole Tamburro, wife of Monroe mayor, dies

Carole Tamburro,  the wife of Monroe Township Mayor Gerald Tamburro, died on Tuesday.  She was 83.

She was a teacher before leaving to raise her family  She later spent fifteen years working for the U.S. Social Security Administration.

Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by her six children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:30 to 5:30 PM at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home in Monroe.  Funeral services will be held at 8:45 AM on Monday, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:30 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe.
