Brenda Hall, ex-Salem Democratic county chair, dies at 71

Brenda Hackett Hall, who spent four years as Salem County Democratic chair, died on February 18.  She was 71.

Hall became county chair in 2004 after the retirement of Thomas Pankok.  She stepped down in 2008 and was succeeded by the current county chairman, Steve Caltabiano.

She served as a commissioner of the Salem County Board of Taxation for fifteen years and was a founding member of the Salem County Federation of Democratic Women.

Hall is survived by her husband of 54 years, former Woodstown Councilman John F. Hall, and two grandchildren,  Her daughter, died of cancer in 2015 at age 46.

Visitation will be held on February 25 at the Adams Funeral Home in Woodstown at 9:30, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.
