First Lady Tammy Murphy will be appointed vice chair of the National Governors Association Governors’ Spouses’ Program, the New Jersey Globe has learned.
She’ll replace Arkansas First Lady Susan Hutchinson, who is expected to become the program’s chair. Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was elected as the association’s chairman earlier this month.
Gov. Phil Murphy was elected as the group’s vice chairman.
Tammy Murphy’s appointment is expected to be announced at the Spouses’ Program’s summer convening later Thursday afternoon.
