New Spadea ad uses Trump, slams Ciattarelli as ‘fake Republican’

Donald Trump’s voice is used in digital ad to validate Spadea’s claim that he’s been a Trump loyalist

In a new digital ad, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea contrasts his support of President Donald Trump – using Trump’s own words as a validation of his fidelity – and then a quote from a 2015 interview where Ciattarelli says Trump “is not fit to be President.”

In “Not Fit,” Spadea uses a clip from Trump’s appearance on his NJ 101.5 morning drive radio show last May.   He touts his readiness to cut taxes and tackle immigration issues.

While Trump’s voice is real, a disclaimer in the ad says that “actual quotes from Jack Ciattarelli (are) voice recreated using AI.”

Spadea said he will spend six figures on his latest ad buy “to ensure people around the state hear our message.”

Script: “(Spadea) Loyalty matters to President Trump. (Trump) Bill, you’ve had my back from the beginning, and I really appreciate it. (Spadea) Ciattarelli, he’s a fake Republican. He turned his back on President Trump. (Voiceover) Sitting silently and allowing him to embarrass our country is unacceptable. He is not fit to be President of the United States. (Spadea) Not me. I’m a real conservative. Tough on immigration and will cut taxes. As your Governor, I will put you – and New Jersey first.”

“We’re excited to debut our newest ad. President Trump deserves our support and our loyalty, said Spadea.  “We all saw what happened in his first term when weak Republicans and members of the DC Swamp turned their back on him and tried to derail his Presidency.”

Spadea pledged that as Governor “Trump can count on the support of New Jersey to help Make America Great Again.”
