After a trip to the U.S. Southern Border in Texas last week, potential gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea has unveiled a 10-point plan to resist the impact of immigrants living in New Jersey illegally.
“While President Trump built the strongest border in the history of our nation, Joe Biden has systematically dismantled all semblance of a border, and Phil Murphy has been his partner in crime here in New Jersey,” said Spadea. “Worse, the self-proclaimed leaders of New Jersey’s Republican establishment are as bad as the Democrats, fighting for illegals to avoid deportation and passing out taxpayer-funded hand-outs and driver’s licenses to them while they’re here.”
Spadea is proposing stricter enforcement, including the renewal of all federal contracts for housing detainees living in the state illegally at county jails, ending bail reform by declaring a public emergency, and enforcing all ICE detainers. He’s seeking an immediate cut to all “handouts and an immediate suspension of state aid to sanctuary cities; Spadea wants to require hospitals to identify patients who may be in the U.S. without documentation on their intake forms and to provide the cost of healthcare it offered.
In a bid to “Reclaim Our State,” Spadea is proposing a lockdown of New Jersey’s borders from “Biden’s ghost flight transports,” an immediate termination of the “sanctuary state” status declared by Murphy in 2018, a ban on the issuance of government identification by local governments to people in the state illegally, as well as a ban on recognizing out-of-state driver’s licenses issued to those in the U.S. illegally.
“The crisis at our southern border has turned every state into a border state,” said Spadea. “Our 10-point plan is strong and tough and will save New Jersey from the dangerous Biden-Murphy policies.”
Spadea unveiled his plan during a “Listen & Learn” forum in Monmouth County.
