A bobblehead of New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is exceeding sales expectations, according to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Milwaukee-based company launched a series of gubernatorial bobbleheads this year as governor’s were at the forefront of the battle to control the spread of COVID-19.
Murphy was part of the third set of governors released by the company and ranks sixth in sales out of twelve.
“He’s actually doing better than we anticipated,” said Phil Sklar, the CEO of BobbleahdHall.com. “Murphy was a surprise for us. He’s increased in popularity.”
The Murphy bobblehead sells for $25.
Sklar said that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is the top seller.
According to Sklar, the company chose which governors to add to their collection based on public demand.
In addition to Murphy and Cuomo, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is marketing figures of governors from California, Michigan, Massachusetts, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maryland, Illinois, New Hampshire, and Kentucky.
The company is now accepting pre-orders of their latest bobblehead: Dr. Anthony Fauci.
