Two new staffers have joined Gov. Phil Murphy’s communications team as deputy press secretaries.

Tyler Jones came aboard in April after working as the communications officer for the New Jersey Civil Service Commission.  She received her master’s degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Bailey Lawrence joined the Murphy administration last week after a stint as communications manager for New Jersey Forward, a non-profit that works on sustainable planning and development policy.  He’s a former graduate teaching assistant at the  Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.

Jones and Lawrence will report to the governor’s press secretary, Alyana Alfaro Post.   They join Christi Peace and Natalie Hamilton, who joined the press shop for the second term.
