Less than a week after announcing the support of 24 Bergen County Republican municipal chairs, Jack Ciattarelli has added endorsements today from 45 other GOP officials in what has become a clear shot at the Republican nomination for governor.

Ciattarelli now has the support of Bergen GOP vice chair Margaret Frontera and the two state committee members, but has not yet secured a formal endorsement from the Republican county chairman, Jack Zisa.

“I am endorsing Jack Ciattarelli for Governor because he will unify the Republican Party and win in November,” said Frontera.  “He has shown an unwavering commitment to our organization and our candidates.”

New endorsements come from ten Republican mayors, including Carlos Rendo, the 2019 GOP candidate for Lt. Governor and the mayor of Woodcliff Lake, and Lyndhurst Republican Municipal Chairman John Cross.

Also backing Ciattarelli: Ari Bernstein (Allendale), Danielle DiPaola (Emerson), Mario Kranjac (Englewood Cliffs), Jack DeLorenzo (Hasbrouck Heights), John Ruocco (Hillsdale), Harry Shortway, Jr. (Midland Park), Jim Wysocki (Mahwah), Daniel Pronti (North Arlington), Melissa Dabal (Wallington), and Melissa Rubenstein (Wyckoff).

Bergen County Young Republican Chair Katie Cericola is also with Ciattarelli.
