Laborers’ endorse Lance

Says Malinowski opposes PennEast pipeline

By David Wildstein, October 30 2018 6:12 pm

The Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) has endorsed Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton) for re-election to New Jersey’s 7th district House seat.

“A true bipartisan voice in Washington, Lance is a proponent of good public policy, not partisan politics. His defense of important issues — whether protecting the core of affordable healthcare, fighting for critical infrastructure investment, or protecting Davis-Bacon federal wage requirements — sometimes puts him at odds with his party but in line with the issues that matter to LiUNA members in the Garden State and across the country,” the union said in a statement released by the Lance campaign.

On their website, LIUNA says that “Tom Malinowski opposes the PennEast natural gas pipeline infrastructure project, has had questions raised about his permanent residency and would generally bring more partisan divisions to Washington if elected.”  Lance edited out the opposition to the pipeline in his press release.
