Kivvit, a national public affairs and strategic communications firm with a major footprint in New Jersey, has been nominated for five Reed Awards.

Two of their nominations came for Best Web Video for an Independent Expenditure: one in support of Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and another for Richard Cordray, the Democratic candidate for governor of Ohio.

Another two nominations came from their work on the Move CT Forward campaign: one the Best Public Affairs campaign and another for Best Web Video for Public Affairs State/Local.  Move CT Forward was a coalition of groups seeking public attention to Connecticut’s infrastructure crisis.

Kivvit was also nominated for the best use of online targeting for their campaign to organize JetBlue flight attendants to unionize with the Transport Workers Union of America (TWU).  TWU won the vote with 66%.

The Reed Awards are named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed.  Along with the Pollies, they are considered the most prestigious awards available for political consultants.

Winners will be announced at the Reed Awards dinner in San Antonio in February.
