More than 120 New Jersey’s women leaders signed a letter supporting House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s run for House Speaker.

“What House Democrats are going to be able to accomplish in the next two years will require skilled and tested leadership,” the women said in a letter. “We also need an effective check against the excesses of the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans. Nancy Pelosi is the best choice to lead that fight.”

Among the signatories are Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, CWA state director Hetty Rosenstein and NJ Working Families state director Analilia Mejia.

Several of the state’s incoming House representatives said during the campaign that they would not support Pelosi were she to make a bid for House leadership.
