Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-Dennis) has raised $2,530,374 for his bid to win re-election to a second term as a Republican.
Van Drew has $1,125,076 cash-on-hand after raising $288,389 between March 1 and April 17.
Included in that amount as a $250 check from former Assemblyman Nelson Albano (D-Vineland), a staunch Van Drew ally when the two ran together for the legislature.
Former Trump administration official Robert Patterson, who is challenging Van Drew in the Republican primary, has $48,413 in the bank. He raised $52,956 in the first 2 ½ months of the 2nd quarter and a total of $272,859 so far this cycle.
Van Drew was elected to Congress as a Democrat in 2018 after seventeen years as a state senator and assemblyman. He switched parties late last year after refusing to support the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
At roughly the same point in the last election, Van Drew had raised $1,960,851 and had $602,158 cash-on-hand.
