A super-PAC allied with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is spending $1 million on a new TV ad that ties Republican Tom Kean, Jr. to President Donald Trump.
The House Majority PAC ad closely mirrors one launched yesterday morning by the Democratic incumbent in New Jersey’s 7th district, Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes).
The ad, “Junior” quotes almost entirely from Star-Ledger opinion columns and closes by morphing Kean’s face into Donald Trump, Jr.
Script: “Tom Kean, Junior. The Star Ledger says, “No matter what Trump does, Kean has his back.” Trump attacks the health care law that protects people with pre-existing conditions, Kean tried to help “sabotage” the law in Trenton. Trump attacks women’s health, Kean helped defund planned parenthood, and tried to restrict a woman’s right to choose. “He’s shown no independence from…Trump.” Tom Kean Junior? More like Donald Trump Junior. House Majority PAC is responsible for the content of this advertising.”
