Local One of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has endorsed Mikie Sherrill for New Jersey’s 11th district.

“The more than 3,400 membership of Local One knows that this election provides a unique opportunity to protect the living standards for union members in this country,” said Robert McDonough, Local One treasurer and co-chair of the NYC Stagehands PAC. “We know that with Mikie Sherrill’s efforts, we can strengthen the programs and policies that union workers rely on in their day to day lives.”

Local One represents hundreds of Stagehands and Entertainment Technicians who reside in NJ-11, and provide services throughout the entertainment industry in Manhattan, Staten Island, the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Nassau and Suffolk Counties in New York.

“Unions like Local One and the IATSE fight for working men and women here in the district and beyond, Sherrill said. “I pledge to always pursue policies that will help working families.”
