Six South Carolina Democrats backed U.S. Sen. Cory Booker’s presidential campaign Friday.
“He is smart, energetic and very knowledgeable on all issues. Most importantly he is fair and understanding when it comes to all people regardless of income, religion, social status or race,” Jenkinsville mayor Gregrey Ginyard said of Booker.
Fairfield County Councilman Moses Bell, Laurens City Councilwoman Alicia Sullivan, Sumter County Assistant Administrator Lorraine Dennis, Laurens County Democratic Executive Committee Member Lumus Byrd and DESA, Inc. CEO Dian Sumpter Booker Friday.
He previously received the endorsements of three South Carolina state representatives, Leola Robinson-Simpson, John King and Annie McDaniel.
