Rep. Mikie Sherrill raised a little more than $1.5 million in the third quarter of 2020, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Sherrill reported bringing in about $1.3 million in individual contributions and $195,100.01 from political committees.

She received $69,085.64 in transfers from candidate committees. The new figures bring her fundraising total to the cycle to just shy of $6 million. She went into October with about $4 million in her war chest, having spent $2.4 million in the third quarter.

The above fundraising totals do not include independent expenditures made for or against either candidate, nor do they include spending by candidates’ political action committees.

A third-quarter filing is not yet available for Republican challenger Rosemary Becchi.

Becchi reported $840,247.19 between April 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020, with $150,000 coming from a personal loan the candidate made to her campaign.

The Republican had $308,512.71 banked at the end of June.

There are 8,088 more Democrats than Republicans in the 11th district. When Sherrill won the seat in 2018, Republicans had a 6,159-voter registration edge.
