All five Republicans on the Lacey Township Committee have endorsed David Richter for Congress in New Jersey’s 3rd district.

“David Richter is the only candidate in this race who can beat Andy Kim. His experience as a businessman and political outsider are the qualities that will propel him to victory,” said Mayor Steve Kennis.

Deputy mayor Pete Curatolo, and committeemen Mark Dykoff, Nick Juliano and Tim McDonald have joined Kennis in endorsing Richter following his victory at the Ocean County GOP convention.

“I’m looking forward to campaigning with David. He has already attended multiple events in town and I know we will be appearing together at many more functions between now and Election Day,” said Juliano, who is up for re-election this year.

Richter faces former Burlington County freeholder director Kate Gibbs, Barnegat mayor John Novak and former Hainesport mayor Tony Porto for the GOP nod to take on freshman Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton).

.“The shutdown and decommissioning of Oyster Creek presents a unique problem to this community,” Richter said. “The threat of delays and cost overruns looms large over the residents. I will bring my decades of experience working in project management to make sure the process is completed in the safest and quickest way possible.”
