Progressive group backs Spezakis for Congress

Our Revolution New Jersey has endorsed Zina Spezakis for Congress in the 9th district, where Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) is seeking re-election to a 12th term.

Spezakis is challenging Pascrell from the left as a supporter of Bernie Sanders for president.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Our Revolution New Jersey, which seeks to carry out Bernie’s national mission on a local level right here on our streets, and in our communities, Spezakis said.  “It is only through the activism of groups such as Our Revolution New Jersey that we can leverage the momentum begun by Bernie Sanders in 2016.”

Pascrell defeated 2018 primary opponent William O. Henry with 86% of the vote.
