The Business and Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) has endorsed Republican businessman David Richter for Congress in New Jersey’s 3rd district.
The endorsement follows the announcement that the pro-business U.S. Chamber of Commerce was backing the freshman Democratic incumbent, Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) for re-election.
“You support for policies that promote free enterprise and job growth is consistent with BIPAC’s mission and we are encouraging our members and partners to support your candidacy,” BIPAC Chair (and former Iowa GOP congressman) Tom Tauke said in a letter to Richter. “Because you have been a consistent voice for the business community and the working men and women of New Jersey, we are pleased to endorse your candidacy and know that you will be a strong advocate in Congress for the policies that impact and stimulate growth, innovation, and prosperity at both the federal and state levels.”
BIPAC is also supporting Republicans Thomas Kean, Jr. in the 7th and Rosemary Becchi in the 11th.
“There is only one candidate in this race who has the experience creating jobs and helping the men and women of the working class in New Jersey,” Richter said. “As someone who has created thousands of jobs, I know what it takes to guide us out of this pandemic and kick-start our economic recovery.”
