Pascrell would ‘love to be’ Trade Subcommittee chair

Rep. Bill Pascrell on Monday told the New Jersey Globe that he’d “love to be” chair of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, of which he is ranking member.

“I worked hard the two years, and folks will decide,” Pascrell said. “We’ll see what happens.”

With the recent trade war over tariffs between the China and the United States — not to mention upcoming changes to the country’s existing trade deals — the subcommittee is an increasingly powerful one.
