Pallotta ad savages McCann

Frank Pallotta has a new cable TV ad using footage of an alligator slamming Republican primary rival John McCann for being a “swamp creature.”

Pallotta and McCann are facing off for the chance to take on two-term Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) in New Jersey’s 5th district.

Script: “A true swamp creature stays hidden until it attacks, like liberal, tax-raising, career politician John McCann.  McCann’s political cronies are forcing him on us, even though McCann increased our property taxes four times and voted himself a fat pay raise, all while failing to pay $130,000 in taxes.  Don’t get bitten again by swamp creature John McCann.”

It’s not immediately clear how much money Pallotta is putting behind his buy.

Teacher James Baldini and perennial candidate Hector Castillo are also seeking the Republican nomination.

“I am proud to be running in this race as the only pro-Trump businessman and true political outsider,” Pallotta said.  “With endorsements from key conservative leaders like Senators Cardinale, Pennacchio, and Corrado, along with Assemblywomen Schepisi and DeCroce, our campaign has the momentum to win this primary and to take our fight to Josh Gottheimer this November.”

Gottheimer faces a primary challenge from Glen Rock Councilwoman Arati Kreibich.
