Pallone faces two Democrats in primary

Rep. Frank Pallone filed for re-election with 589 signatures Monday.

He faces progressive primary challenger Russ Cirincione, who is running under the slogan “Not Me, Us,” and Amani Al-Khatatbeh.

Al-Khatatbeh’s filing had been unexpected.

Sammy Gindi faces Christian Onuoha for the Republican nomination.  Onuoha has the organization line in Monmouth and Middlesex counties.

Gindi submitted 244 signatures and is running the slogan LIBERTY.GOD.COUNTRY CONSTITUTION.2A.YOU in both of the sixth district’s counties.

Due to delays caused by COVID-19, petition information may be incomplete at this time.

The deadline to file was 4:00 p.m. Monday.
