Rep. Albio Sires (D-West New York) filed for re-election on Monday.

The incumbent submitted his nominating petitions with more than 400 signatures and organizational slogans from each of the eighth congressional district’s four counties.

He faces two primary challengers.

Hector Oseguera filed with more than 400 signatures. His slogans are pending.

Will Sheehan, who submitted 261 signatures, is running under the slogan “battle tested. Mission ready.”

Two Republicans are vying for the heavily-Democratic district’s seat.

Jason Mushnick is seeking the Republican nomination.  Another announced candidate, David Winkler, did not appear to file.

Due to delays caused by COVID-19, petition information may be incomplete at this time.

The deadline to file was 4:00 p.m. Monday.
