Norcross files for Congress

Congressman seeking a fourth term

By Nikita Biryukov, March 30 2020 7:01 pm

Rep. Donald Norcross (D-Camden) filed to run for re-election on Monday.

The three-term congressman is seeking a fourth term with the backing of each Democratic county organization in the first congressional district.

He filed his petitions with more than 400 signatures. Elections officials are still counting the rest.

Former Collingswood School Board member Claire Gustafson is the only Republican to have filed for the seat.

It’s not clear how many signatures she gathered or what slogans she’ll run under.

Former Hopewell Township Mayor Allen Cannon had been circulating petitions in the week leading up to filing day. It’s not immediately clear what happened to his candidacy.

Due to delays caused by COVID-19, petition information may be incomplete at this time.

The deadline to file was 4:00 p.m. Monday.
