The New Jersey State Council of the Service Employees International Union endorsed Rep. Donald Norcross’s (D-Camden) re-election Friday.
“Throughout your career in public service, you have been a staunch ally of our members, their families, and communities,” State Council President Milly Silva said in a letter to the congressman. “We trust you will advance the issues important to them at this especially critical time, when we are faced with two grave public health crises — the COVID-19 pandemic and vast racial inequity.”
Before entering Congress, Norcross was president Southern New Jersey AFL-CIO Central Labor Council for 16 years and served as president of the Southern New Jersey Building Trades Council.
He also co-founded the Bipartisan Building Trades Caucus, where he is now co-chair.
