End Citizens United endorsed Rep. Donald Norcross (D-Camden) Tuesday.
“The United States Constitution says ’We the people,’ not ‘We the billionaires and corporations’,” Norcross said. “I am proud to be endorsed by End Citizens United, a group that understands why we need to fix our broken campaign finance laws and protect and expand voting rights for the people. Fair and open elections are the very foundation of our democracy, and I will always fight to strengthen the integrity of our system.”
The group’s endorsement adds backing from another progressive organization to Norcross’s belt, showing against that progressive organizations’ disdain for South Jersey powerbroker George Norcross, the congressman’s brother.
End Citizens United’s endorsement makes the divide progressives view between the two brothers clear.
Allies of George Norcross run the General Majority PAC, a super PAC.
Correction: A previous version of this story said General Majority did not disclose its donors. It does.
